Babar Azam was once again the lead scorer and the anchor with a sublime 87-run knock. The hosts must be happy with this score on a surface that has proved to be very sluggish. Mohammad Rizwan's absence might have looked like a big risk at the start, but not exactly. Iftikhar Ahmed as well chipped in with a useful innings of 31 runs.

For England, David Willey and Sam Curran picked up two wickets. Reece Topley was excellent in first three overs, conceding only 12 runs. But his final over spent 19 runs giving Pakistan some much needed momentum. Adil Rashid went wicket-less and this was the first time the leg-spinner has been wicket less for three consecutive T20Is.
