Veteran actress Rekha has always appeared in public with elegance, often seen wearing sarees and conventional outfits while adorning sindoor (vermilion). Many, including celebrities, have speculated about the reason within the back of her wearing sindoor. No matter now no longer being married, Rekha proudly applies sindoor to her hairline and has been spotted with it on a lot of occasions. She began wearing sindoor even before her marriage to Mukesh Aggarwal, and after his passing, she has continued to wear it.

Rekha became once asked by the president of India Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, who became honouring her with the National Award, “Why do you may have gotten sindoor in your maang?” To which Rekha spoke back, “Within town I come from, it’s fashionable to wear sindoor.”
