Ridhima Pandit Says She Barely Knows Shubman Gill, Calls Wedding Rumours With Cricketer ‘People’s Imagination’

TV actor Ridhima Pandit is making headlines after a report went viral online claiming that the ‘Bahu Hamari Rajinikanth’ star will marry cricketer Shubman Gill. However, debunking the rumours, Ridhima stated in an interaction with ETimes that there is no truth to these claims. The actor said, “It is some people’s imagination, I guess! Somebody creates a story and then it goes viral on social media.”

In further conversation with the portal, Ridhima said, “I don’t even know Shubman Gill personally. This is ridiculous. I started receiving congratulatory messages this morning and was tired of denying this gossip. I finally decided to post about it on my social media handle.” She also revealed that she is currently single and open to a relationship.

“I am single and ready to mingle, but because of these rumours, potential suitors might now hesitate to come forward. I do want to get married and settle down.”

Meanwhile, on her Instagram, she shared a story, now deleted, in which she said, “I woke up with a lot of calls from journalists, which has never happened before. Many of them want to know about my upcoming shaadi, but to whom? No, it’s not happening. Go on with your lovely day. Kuch hoga toh main bata dungi saamne se (If something like this happens in my life, I will announce it myself). Nothing is happening now. Bye.”

Ridhima is known for her roles in shows including Bahu Hamari Rajinikanth and Khatra Khatra Khatra. She was also seen in the first season of Bigg Boss OTT.

During an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Ridhima recently expressed her concern about the lack of discussion regarding abuse on television sets. Without specifying names, she recounted an incident in which an executive producer of her show prevented her from visiting her ailing mother in the hospital.

“It is true that nobody talks about it. There is a certain form of abuse that occurs. In one of my shows, the producers were nice, but the EP (Executive Producer) would mentally harass me. It was during that time I started to discover that my mother was unwell. She was admitted into the ICU. It was very heartbreaking for me to see my mother suffer so much. During the days she was in the ICU, the visiting hours were 7 am – 8 am and 4 pm – 5:50 pm,” she said.
