Royal Caribbean helps make wishes come true

When Royal Caribbean and Inter Miami CF, a Major League Soccer team, partnered in August 2023, they promised to "create memorable experiences for families and fans in every single place, changing the sport from ship to pitch around the arena."

They have lived up to that promise by partnering with Make-A-Wish, the global nonprofit that creates life-changing wishes for kids with a crucial illnesses.

The cruise line and the soccer team granted the desires of 23 children at some point of a four-day experience that took place on Saturday, Sept. 21, through Tuesday, Sept. 24, in South Florida.

The event became driven by children from at some point of the U.S. along with as Canada and Israel desirous to fulfill Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi.

"Leading up to that moment, Royal Caribbean hosted a day of unforgettable adventures on the fresh Icon of the Seas," Inter Miami shared in a news release.

"Experiences like these lend a hand children build the physical and emotional strength they should fight a a crucial illness. A wish is likely to be a game-changer that brings joy and a sense of normalcy back into a family’s life."

Inter Miami and Royal Caribbean grant wishes

The special event kicked off on Icon of the Seas on Sept. 21. The Make-A-Wish children and their families spent the day on the arena's largest cruise ship.

"The families enjoyed a specially planned day of experiences, from getting a seek for close at the first theatrical rendition of 'The Wizard of Oz' at sea to reaching new heights and speeds at the Category 6 waterpark, refueling on bites of each kind, and more."

Inter Miami hosted the Make-A-Wish children and their families on Sept. 24 at Chase Stadium, the club's home grounds.

"The day began with every child and their family celebrated of their very own field-level suite, where they were greeted with special gifts, including a team-signed jersey personalized with their name, a curated food and beverage experience, and additional Inter Miami CF gear," the soccer team wrote.

When they were settled, the children and families got a true inside of study how the soccer club operates.

"The experience continued with somebody viewing of an Inter Miami CF practice, offering an exclusive study how the players and training team of workers prepare for a match," it added.
