Sania’s comments about her romantic life come after her recent divorce from Shoaib Malik. The couple, who had been married since 2010, finalized their divorce earlier this year. While the tennis player had remained silent about the issues in her marriage, the news became public when Shoaib Malik posted wedding photos with Sana Javed on January 19, 2024. Following this, Sania’s father confirmed their separation.
In a statement, Sania’s family addressed the divorce, requesting privacy and understanding from fans. “Sania and Shoaib have been divorced for a few months now. She wishes Shoaib well on his new journey. At this sensitive time, we request all fans and well-wishers to refrain from speculation and to respect her need for privacy, ” the statement read. Despite their separation, Sania and Shoaib continue to co-parent their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, born in 2018.
