Sanjeeda Shaikh Says ‘Ladkiyaan Bhi Koi Kum Nahi Hai’ as She Reveals Horrifying Incident of a Woman Groping Her in Public

Sanjeeda Shaikh has garnered widespread acclaim ever since she appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s series Heeramandi. She played the character of Waheeda, the sister of Mallika Jaan (portrayed by Manisha Koirala). Following her appearance in the series, Sanjeeda has been giving various interviews. In one such conversation, the actor revealed the dark side of showbiz, recalling an incident when she was groped by a woman at a nightclub.

What Happened With Sanjeeda Shaikh?

In an interview with Hauterfly, Sanjeeda shared her thoughts on the incident, admitting that it left her questioning many things. Sanjeeda said, “I remember one incident very vaguely, but it was by a girl. I was in a nightclub. One girl was passing by, and she just touched my breast and left. I was kind of taken aback, like what just happened. We hear men smack you on the back and they misbehave, but ladkiyaan koi kum nahi hai (women are also the same).”

The actor continued, “If you are headed on the wrong path, you are going on it regardless. It has nothing to do with men or women; whatever is wrong is wrong. If a woman has wronged you, tell her. Because I think playing the victimhood card is very unattractive.”

Sanjeeda Talks About Divorce

Sanjeeda Shaikh also opened up about her divorce, saying that the phrase made her feel like she was the most depressed person. However, after accepting the reality, she tried to move on and started loving herself. Now, she has overcome it and is “happy with this version of myself.”

Rumours About Dating Harshvardhan Rane

Last year, rumours circulated that she was dating actor Harshvardhan Rane. Speculation arose after their social media posts indicated they were vacationing in the Gir forests around the same time.

Harshvardhan addressed the rumours in an interview with News18, saying, “It does not bother me because it is the job of journalists to write, and they also have a weekly deadline and daily quota or target of stories to submit. I see them as humans who are trying to do a job, just like my job is to be in films. I respect my journey and effort too much, and hence, I respect their process too. They can write anything about me. I would still hug them when I see them.”
