Not every day people go out of their way to save others or help people in need when the situation calls for it. However, one such instance was recently witnessed in the US state of Michigan after two school bus drivers teamed up to rescue a 2-year-old boy after he was reportedly taken away by a carjacker.

Notably, the incident is from Kentwood, Michigan where the baby boy who was with his parents in the car ended up being stolen along with the couple’s car. A video of the entire episode has also gone viral on the internet.

The video which has been shared by a page titled Good News Movement on its social media handles shows how the parents of the boy approach the bus driver for Kelloggsville Public Schools, David Skinner, and further explained the situation. In a swift action, the driver immediately passed off the information to the police and also alerted fellow drivers.

In a matter of seconds, the clip further shows another female bus driver noticing a small boy sitting by himself on the side of the road and entirely covered in a blanket. The driver identified as Sue Figeroa immediately pulled over and took the baby inside and further drove back to the panicked parents.

According to police, the stolen car has been found but the carjacker is yet to be arrested. Issuing a statement on the incident to ABC News, the Kelloggsville Public Schools Superintendent, James Alston said that the driver duo along with Kristin Nickeslon, the director of transportation worked together and did a great job of getting the boy back to his parents.

Internet hails bus drivers as heroes

In the meantime, the video of the same has also gone viral and the internet is already showering praise and applause on the drivers. While a user wrote “Omg the horror that lady must’ve been experiencing! Ugh. Bravo to the bus drivers”, another commented “My mother was a school bus driver. These amazing people need more recognition.”

A person further also wrote, “I feel that the guy who helped the lady translate what happened also is a hero. The poor lady could even think straight. The bus driver lady also was kinda crying while she returned the baby, it must be heartbreaking. So relieved that the family is together again.”

On the other hand, people also went on to criticise the parents for leaving their kid alone in the vehicle.
