Shah Rukh Khan Rejected ‘Lungi Dance’ For Chennai Express Initially, Honey Singh Reveals

Honey Singh gained recognition for his contributions to the Punjabi and Bollywood music industries along with his groovy tracks. The once unstoppable singer-rapper went on hiatus following his struggles, including drug abuse and depression. Singh, who has been vocal about his journey, recalled when Shah Rukh Khan at the foundation rejected ‘Lungi Dance.’ Yes, you read that right. The banger track that went on to became a smash hit in ‘Chennai Express’ became turned by the megastar.

‘Trying out My Persistence’ Said Honey Singh

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starred in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express.’ The protagonist within the film takes a go backwards and forwards from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and, while there, falls in love with a native don’s daughter. The 2013 film marked yet another collaboration between SRK and Deepika. Nonetheless it, the film became her first project with Rohit Shetty.
