Sridevi Death Case: CBI files chargesheet against YouTuber who 'forged' letters from PM Modi, Ministers

Having an illustrious career spanning over four records, dubbed as Bollywood’s first female superstar, actress Sridevi passed away shockingly in February 2018. While initial reports suggested that Sridevi died due to a cardiac arrest, her autopsy report confirmed that the actress passed away due to a case of “accidental drowning” in the tub.

However, as fans couldn’t wrap their heads around the actress’ death, numerous reports and theories have come floating around time and again.

That being said, in a fresh development, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against Deepti R Pinniti, a self-styled investigator, for claiming a coverup between India and the UAE government over Sridevi’s death based on “forged” documents from Indian dignitaries.

YouTuber’s shocking claims in Sridevi death case

Deepti Pinniti, who continues to remain an active participant in social media discussions revolving around the death of Bollywood actors, was seen commenting on the legendary actress’ death and also produced evidence- including letters from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. She also claimed that the ‘documents’ were produced by the UAE government.

However, now, a case has been registered against the investigator and her lawyer Bharath Suresh Kamath after receiving a complaint from lawyer Chandni Shah, which was referred to the agency by the PMO. Besides claiming that documents including the letters from the Prime Minister and Defence Minister were “forged”, the CBI also carried out searches at her house in December last year and seized all her phones and laptops.

“The suspect Deepti Rani Pinniti has time and again maligned the image of the present government by bizarrely accusing the government as the sponsor of the death of Sridevi…,” Shah said as reported by the PTI.

In its report submitted to a special court, CBI divulged details of the entire seizure. In reaction to the chargesheet, Deepti further claimed that the CBI did not record her statement regarding the case.
