Sushant Singh Rajput’s Sister Shweta Visits Kedarnath to ‘Feel Close to Bhai’ Ahead of His Fourth Death Anniversary

Sushant Singh Rajput‘s worldwide admirers were startled by his unexpected demise in 2020. The actor’s friends and fans who had become close to him via his films were certain that he had not committed suicide. A revolution was sparked and the internet was flooded with appeals for justice, prompting the CBI to look into the situation. As the battle continues, the late actor’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti often drafts emotional social media posts about him. She once again dropped a special post ahead of his death anniversary and it has a Kedarnath connection.

Shweta Singh Kirti visited Kedarnath to feel a stronger connection to her deceased brother. She shared pictures of Sushant and also of herself. The caption on the post read, “It is the 1st of June, and four years ago on 14th of this month, we lost our dearest Sushant. Even now, we are still searching for answers about what happened on that tragic day.”

Singh further revealed that she got emotional as soon as she landed in Kedarnath and felt his presence.  “I came to Kedarnath to pray, to remember, and to feel close to Bhai. The day was incredibly emotional; as soon as I landed in Kedarnath, tears began to flow. I walked for a while but eventually had to sit down and cry my heart out, feeling his presence all around me. I felt an overwhelming urge to hug him. I sat and meditated where he had meditated, and in those moments, I felt he was still with me, within me, living through me. It felt as if he had never left, ” continued the caption.

Singh revealed that while checking her phone, she came across a picture of his ‘bhai’ taken with a sadhu in Kedarnath. She met Sadhu and shared the image for reference.

Shweta Singh Kirti started an internet campaign to demand justice for her brother’s killing in April of this year. “Nany 4 SSR Jan Andolan” was her announcement. As part of the campaign, she asked people to share the film on social media, wear a red fabric around their wrists or foreheads, and ask the authorities to honour the late actor.

Before this, in March, Shweta made a video statement in which she asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to investigate the CBI’s investigation into the murder of her actor brother. It has been 45 months since her brother’s death, and Shweta said in her statement that they have not received any updates from the investigating authorities.
