Tamil Actor Pradeep K Vijayan Found Dead With Head Injury, Heart Attack Suspected

Chennai: Pradeep K Vijayan, a versatile Tamil actor recognised for his acting prowess in both villainous and comic roles in films like “Thegidi” and “Hey! Sinamika,” was found dead in his home this Wednesday. A close friend of the actor tried reaching out to Pradeep, but couldn’t connect with him over the phone. After a couple of days, he visits his home and finds Pradeep’s dead body. At the moment, police are investigating the situation surrounding his demise, and an official announcement has yet to be made.

Pradeep was living alone in Sankarapuram First Street in Palavakkam, Chennai. He was an unmarried man. He started facing sudden episodes of breathlessness and lightheadedness. After he failed to respond to multiple calls from a friend over a period of two days, the worried friend decided to pay him a visit to see if he was doing okay.

When Pradeep didn’t respond to his friend’s knocking at the door, his friend was concerned and dialed the Neelankarai police and fire unit. Following the call, they forcefully entered to find Pradeep’s dead body in the house, which suffered a head injury. Pradeep’s remains have now been moved to Royapettah Government Hospital for a more detailed examination.

Media reports claim that Pradeep lost his life two days ago due to a severe head injury coupled with a heart attack. However, the police from Neelankarai are meticulously investigating the circumstances surrounding his unexpected death. Additionally, an autopsy has been scheduled to obtain further insights on the cause of his death.

Pradeep, once a diligent tech student, followed his acting dreams and found himself in the Kollywood circuit. He marked the culmination of his acting journey with his appearance in the 2023 movie “Rudhran,” guided by the talented director S Kathiresan, where he shared the screen space with the popular Tamil actor Raghava Lawrence. Aside from acting, he also dabbled in movie subtitling as a secondary gig.
