Target Adds New Convenient Services That Shoppers Will Love

Shopping at Target is getting easier with some new services it has added.

Target  (TGT) - Get Free Report has found new ways to draw customers into its stores, whether it's offering new and exciting partnerships with trending designers like Tabitha Brown, who currently has several collections in the store from apparel to home goods and needs or launching a new store brand in Good and Gather. Target also works to entice its customers to want to cruise through the aisles sipping on a Starbucks coffee while perusing the fuzzy blankets and pillows or reading funny greeting cards.

Walking up and down the aisles is one of the best parts about shopping at Target for some people. There’s a certain amount of therapy customers can get from the routine shopping experience. But Target has also considered that customers are also pressed for time and sometimes a leisurely stroll through its departments isn’t in the books. The retail giant took a look at some of top requests by customers, and their response was a resounding answer about getting more convenience.

Target Just Got That Much Better

Target took to the pandemic by launching its curbside pickup, which allowed customers to place orders through the Target website or Target app. The curbside pickup was a feature customers may not have known they needed, but now they can’t imagine life without. The convenience of being able to order online and pull up in your car with napping children in tow makes the Target shopping experience that much sweeter.

Then Target topped off its curbside delivery with getting your Starbucks  (SBUX) - Get Free Report order delivered right to your car alongside your store order. Using the Target app, customers select that they are on their way to pick up, and that tells the Starbucks team to get their coffee or choice beverage ready to go.

Now customers can use the app to also do a curbside return. The ease of being able to skip a few steps to get a return done is ideal, but Target didn’t stop there. Along with taking customers returns curbside, customers can still pick up a Starbucks order at the same time as their return making a shopping experience so much more convenient when customers are on the go.

“Our guests continue to tell us they love the ease and convenience of Drive Up, and they have been asking us to add even more of the Target experience to the service. Adding a Starbucks order and easy returns, while expanding our backup item options, will give guests even more of what they love about shopping at Target, quickly and easily,” said Target’s Chief Store Officer, Mark Schindele in a statement. “Ongoing investments in our same-day services have built trust and relevance with our guests, while meeting their needs — no matter how they choose to shop.”

The Target Convenience Continues

Target has also thought about what customers may have forgotten. When a customer places an order, but then they realize they forgot something, Target has that covered. Target will let customers place the forgotten items in a new order and be able to pick up both or all of the orders at one time. For those who are constantly forgetting one or two items, this can be a life saver. Usually, if a customer forgets something after placing an online order for pickup, this means they go without, or they still park their car and go inside the store, taking out the whole convenience of the online shopping experience with curbside pickup.

Target has taken it even a step further and when making orders, customers can now select a backup item, in case their first choice is not available. This creates a little less stress when shopping online, especially when needing some essential items for dinner or another project. Knowing you can’t get your first choice, but having the backup ready to go helps put minds at ease, instead of finding out an item was just ‘out of stock’ when unpacking groceries or other orders at home.

The best solution is to just have the second best, but that’s the only time customers deal with second best, because Target is knocking it out of the park with its shopping convenience through the Target app.
