Temples must be ‘freed’ from govt control, handed to Hindus; how VHP reacted to Tirupati Laddu controversy

Tirupati Laddu Controversy: Reacting to the Tirupati laddu controversy, wherein animal fat became allegedly used the entire way through the Tirupati laddu prasadam, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) demanded that temples ought to be “freed” from government control and handed over to Hindus. In a video statement, VHP secretary general Bajrang Bagda termed the incident as “intolerable” and demanded that Andhra Pradesh government hand over the control and management of the temple to the Hindu society.

“Tirupati incident in the same fashion strengthens the Vishva Hindu Parishad’s belief that government control over temples ends up in entry of politics. Resulting from the appointment of non-Hindu officials there (in temples less than government control), such impurities are deliberately introduced into the prasad (consecrated food),” he said.

Bagda often normally often called for “freeing” all temples and other Hindu non secular places from state control across america of a, and likewise demanded strict legal action against those allegedly fascinated about desecrating Tirupati laddu prasadam.

“We reiterate our demand that every person and sundry temples and other places of worship be freed from the federal government’s control. The management and control of all temples and Hindu non secular places ought to be handed over to the Hindu society,” he said.

Terming the alleged use of animal fat in Tirupati laddu prasadam as “intolerable and a disgusting act”, Bagda said the general Hindu society is distressed and hurt with this report, and warned that the Hindu society will now no longer tolerate such “repeated attack” on its faith.

“It’s now no longer just Tirupati temple which is less than the federal government’s control. There are over four lakh temples less than control of the governments in respective states across america of a,” Bansal said.

“Our stand is apparent on this issue that governments needs to vacate the temples and their property, and hand them over to the Hindu society, Hindus are the rightful trustee of the temples, now no longer the governments,” he told PTI, when asked for comment.

The VHP will soon launch a gigantic campaign against government control over the temples and other non secular places of the Hindus, Bansal added.
