Judge agrees to push sentencing of US President Joe Biden’s son Hunter in gun case to December 4

Washington: After being found guilty of lying about his drug use when purchasing a revolver and illegally possessing the weapon while being hooked on drugs, United States President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, will likely be sentenced on December Four, local media reported. A U.S federal judge has agreed to a proposal recommend by Hunter Biden’s attorney to delay his initial criminal sentencing. In the foundation scheduled for November 13, the sentencing will now happen three weeks later, effectively after the presidential elections, The Hill reported. A court in Delaware had convicted him this June on three felony gun charges. He faces a maximum detention center sentence of 10 years on the first two counts and of 5 years on the 0.33.

Hunter became set to face a 2nd criminal trial in California this month on nine tax-related charges, consistent with the report in ‘The Hill’ news every day but he shunned it by pleading guilty.

The United States President’s son faces three felony counts for tax evasion and filing false returns, plus six misdemeanour counts. The indictment detailed how Hunter Biden cheated on his taxes over a four-year stretch (2016-2019) and as a substitute spent millions “on an extravagant standard of living.”

Sentencing in that case is scheduled for December sixteen.

Notably, around the world Biden’s re-election campaign earlier than his announcement of stepping down from the presidential race, Hunter’s two federal criminal prosecutions were seen to be that you possibly can most probably imagine political liability.

Now with Kamala Harris stepping up the entire way at some point of the race, the political blowback from Hunter’s legal issues seem less threatening to President Biden. The President, in an earlier statement, made clear he would now not be handing out any pardons to his son, if he became found guilty. Because the United States gears up for its Presidential elections on November 5 this year, the road ahead remains to be seen.
