The iPhone 15 is out and here's some of what the experts are saying about it

It's that time of the year again. In the middle of what many tech enthusiasts call Techtember, Apple has unveiled its new set of iPhones.

The iPhone 15 lineup isn't very different from last year's: The base level iPhone 15 comes in a regular size and a larger screen called the iPhone 15 Plus, while the flagship Pro devices also come as a duo with similarly sized screens.

But there are a few changes with the devices compared with last year's models. Some of them have been well-received while others have been the subject of jokes about the Apple-like way in which the tech company has introduced them.

The big change many were waiting for was the charging port at the bottom of the phones. Apple has had to adjust its usual Lightning port to the universally used USB-C port due to regulations in the U.K., and many were waiting for Apple to make it official and see how the company would announce it.

Apple ended up quickly passing through the announcement of its USB-C charge, a point that was very noticeable to some tech experts.

Apple's vice president for iPhone product marketing, Kaiann Drance, introduced the iPhone 15 as having a "all new design." That got some laughs on social media.

The iPhones base models now have the Dynamic Island.

The phone did get a few design upgrades, most notably adding the Dynamic Island, which was present only on the Pro models in last year's iteration of the phone. But for the most part, the phone does look the same as those from the past few years.

The iPhone Pro models are always saved for last because they are the main event. And the big change in design is the phones are enclosed with titanium.

Apple called it the "most premium material" it has used for the phone's enclosure, while also enabling it to be the lightest iPhone Pro model ever.

The public jury is still out as to whether these are more durable than the previous glass models, but there's plenty of buzzing that these new models could look and feel more premium than any past iPhone.
