Watch: Rinku Singh’s six damages window glass during 2nd T20I against South Africa in Gqeberha

Young Indian sensation Rinku Singh registered his maiden international half-century against South Africa on Tuesday in the second T20I. Rinku remained unbeaten having produced a blistering knock of 68 off 39 balls. His innings comprised nine boundaries and two sixes and one of his maximums shattered the glass panel of the media box at St. George’s Park in Gqeberha. The incident took place in the penultimate over of the innings. Aiden Markram’s flatter delivery on the middle stump was nicely handled by Rinku who came dancing down the track to smash a six straight over the bowler’s head. It was later revealed that the southpaw’s monstrous shot produced a crack in the glass.

Rinku Singh’s massive six enthralled everyone and the presenter was even heard saying, “Take a look at that six, but it has proved to be costly. It broke a glass in the media box. We have a picture of it. That is what it has resulted in.”

Legendary South Africa pacer Dale Steyn responded, “Yes, and someone in the eastern bay of Gqeberha won’t be very happy with Rinku Singh breaking one of their windows.”
