The closing ceremony will be split into four parts. Here’s a breakdown of events that will take place

Airshow at 12.30 pm for 10 minutes

For the first time ever – nine hawks from the Suryakiran acrobatic team will enthrall fans with a vertical airshow over the Narendra Modi Stadium – in synch with music that pays tribute to the New India. The flight will take off from the Ahmedabad airport.

Parade of Champions at 5.30 pm

Captains of all World Cup winning teams have been invited to the 2023 World Cup final. Barring Pakistan’s Imran Khan, every captain, from West Indies’ Clive Lloyd to England’s Eoin Morgan, will take part in The Parade of Champions that will be held during the innings break of the final.

During this event, the captains will showcase their World Cup-winning trophies and will also be felicitated by the BCCI.

Music performances

For another 10 minutes during the halftime break, there will be music performances from music director Pritam. Pritam will lead his entourage of around 500 dancers in his musical show, Dil Jashn Bole, with famous songs like Lehra Do, Deva Deva and Kesariya set to be featured.

Apart from Pritam, the music show will also feature Aditya Gadhavi and others.

Crowning of champions

There will be a unique way of celebration for the World Cup winners this time around. There will be a laser magic production on display, with the name of the World Cup-winning team and the trophy. During this, more than 1200 will illuminate the Ahmedabad skies with the name of the 2023 World Cup winners and it will be followed by some massive fireworks to conclude the grand occasion in international cricket.

While India defeated New Zealand by 70 runs in the first semi-final of the World Cup in Mumbai, Australia had to toil before battling past South Africa in the second semi-final in Kolkata.
