Ananya Panday on Suhana Khan facing criticism for Netflix's 'The Archies': ' For now as a best friend...'

Ananya Panday is basking in the glory and success of her film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan that’s streaming on Netflix. She was praised for her performance by fans and critics alike. In an interview with Bollywood Life, she was asked about her best friend Suhana Khan facing criticism for Netflix’s ‘The Archies‘, directed by Zoya Akhtar.

Panday said, “Suhana is a fabulous actress and I cannot wait for her to see her magic. For now as a best friend I am doing my part and sending her lots of love.”

Netflix and Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies streamed on the giant from December 7. It received great reviews and reception but also had its share of critics. Amid the criticism and minor trolling, an interview of actor Alyy Khan, who plays Suhana Khan’s father in the film, has gone viral.

Much before the project was announced, he spoke about how the director trained all the debutants for a year before they faced the camera. He was quoted saying, “If you face the camera after a year of training and fail to be razor sharp in your performance, shame on you.”

About The Archies

Zoya Akhtar had the most remarkable debut as a filmmaker with Luck By Chance, which turns 15 next month. She has a sharp (and stylish) eye for Bollywood, dysfunctional families (Dil Dhadakne Do), music (Gully Boy), friendship (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara), and nostalgia (The Archie comics). Her latest directorial has directly streamed on Netflix- The Archies.

About Kho Gaye Hum Kahan

The subjects unfolded in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan are the mirror revealing for the youth of today, and it was a need of an honor. For a long time, the youth-appealing drama wasn’t explored in Indian cinema, and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan touched the right chord and found acceptance by the masses.

Moreover, Excel Entertainment deserves to be credited for pulling off such relevant content yet again with Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. The production house has indeed made a descriptive study of all the nuances of the youth culture and presented it in the most effective way in the film.
