She became well-known through the television program ‘Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani,’ and she thereafter made an appearance in Mithai. In an exclusive interview with india.com, the actor, who presently stars in the Colors TV series ‘Krishna Mohini,’ discussed the horrors of the casting couch. Many new actors who are seeking jobs are harassed by the casting couches, who demand sexual favours from them, as a result of power dynamic in the entertainment industry. While some celebrities like Ankit Gupta, Divyanka Tripathi, Ankita Lokhande, Kishwer Merchant and more have disclosed their experiences on the casting couch, others have not. Debattama said, “I think struggles aur challenges har kisi ki zindagi mein aate hai so that they can bloom with it. I went through all such things and I think I am very thankful that I went through such things because agar mein unn sabse nahi guzarti toh shayad I couldn’t have been this humble and accept my fate.”

“Initially bohot acha lagta hai after a point you meet your saturation point and you can’t let that put you down. So all such things, a human also, being an actor also logo ki nazro mein humesha rehna that is also very difficult, very glad also but you have to limit your certain things as well so these things are there, ” she continued.
