'Deeply disturbed': US on Indian student stabbed in Indiana

The United States has expressed sadness at the attack on an Indian student in Indiana, who is in serious condition.

Varun Raj Pucha, an Indian student, was stabbed in an Indiana gym.

The US State Department has also wished Varun a speedy recovery and stated that any queries concerning this ongoing issue should be directed to local law enforcement.

“We are deeply disturbed by reports of a brutal attack against Indian graduate student Varun Raj Pucha. We wish him a full recovery from his injuries. We defer to local law enforcement for any questions about this ongoing case,” US State Department spokesperson told ANI.

Varun Raj Pucha, an Indian student from Telangana, was stabbed in the head at an Indiana gym and is presently on life support. The accused has been apprehended, and an investigation is now continuing.
