Delhi-Dehradun Expressway To Reduce Travel Time From 6.5 Hours To 2.5 Hours

Delhi-Dehradun Expressway: Good news for people who reside in the national capital and for the residents of Dehradun as the fourth phase of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is about to be completed very soon. According to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the mega project will be completed by June 30. This will not only upgrade the highway infrastructure of the country but also drastically reduce the travel time between Delhi and Dehradun from 6.5 hours to 2.5 hours. The expressway will connect the capital city to Dehradun via Saharanpur, Baghpat, Baraut, and Shamli, and it is expected that by July, vehicular traffic will start on this elevated segment of the expressway.

Reliable sources indicate that once completed, the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will trim the distance between these two cities from 235 km down to a breezy 213 km, drastically reducing your travel time. Additionally, the National Highways Authority of India, or NHAI for short, has taken the responsibility of consistently maintaining an accessible path for wildlife, abiding by the standards put forth by the central government’s Ministries of Environment and Wildlife.

Rohit Panwar, serving as a Project Engineer in the National Highways Authority of India, revealed to The New Indian Express that the concluding portion of the highway sweeps from Ganeshpur, Uttar Pradesh, stretching all the way to Asharodi check post in Dehradun, marking 20 km on the map. Significantly, a large part of this expressway skirts the boundaries of the famous Rajaji National Park.
