The megastar of the entertainment industry, Shah Rukh Khan was recently awarded the Indian Of The Year at the CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2023. Pre-Pathaan phase and string of flops

After 2015, the megastar delivered a string of flops in the form of Fan, Jab Harry Met Sejal and Zero. Post these debacles, there were several articles in the publications which questioned the stardom of SRK and even claimed that his charm is over.

Aryan Khan’s arrest

Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan was arrested in connection with the Mumbai cruise drugs case early in October 2021. After several hearings and nearly four weeks, he was granted bail and eight months later, he was given a clean chit by NCB. During this phase, SRK conducted himself with dignity and made sure to be a pillar of strength for his family members.

In the event, SRK addressed the tough times he and his family faced and what he learnt from them while opening up about his son Aryan Khan’s arrest. “The last 4-5 years have been a bit of a ride for me and my family. I’m sure for some of you also because of Covid. Most of my films flopped. Analysts started writing my death knells,” said the actor.

Roaring comeback with Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki
The actor made a roaring comeback in 2023 as his three movies Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki earned over Rs 2500 crore at the global box office. “It’s not about the box office or numbers but the desire to entertain,” said the actor after receiving the Indian of the Year award.
