‘Harry Made It Difficult For His father’: Royal Expert Says King Charles Won’t Meet Son Because Of ‘Certain Demands’

King Charles has reportedly declined to meet with Prince Harry, who is currently in London for the Invictus Games. This comes after the Duke of Sussex allegedly made “difficult demands” about the conditions of their meeting, according to Royal expert Charlotte Griffiths. “I think the reason was because Harry made certain demands about who could be in the room and who couldn’t. Although on the surface it looks like a snub, Harry made it very difficult for his father.”

When asked to elaborate on the demands, Griffiths said “other forces” could’ve influenced the king’s decision. “Maybe other forces were driving Charles’ position on this,” she said. “William may have had a thought about how this meeting should be conducted or whether it should be conducted at all.”

Prince Harry returned to the UK on Tuesday amidst speculation that he would reunite with his father, reports the Mirror. However, a spokesperson has confirmed that this will not be happening.

Royal editor Chris Ship took to social media to announce that Prince Harry had arrived in the UK. He informed that Harry had landed in the UK ahead of his St Paul’s Cathedral service on May 8 and would be “doing some Invictus related events”.

“Prince Harry travelled to the UK alone – without Meghan or the children Archie and Lilibet.

Meghan will not accompany Harry to the St Paul’s Cathedral in London tomorrow. But she will be with Harry for their visit to Nigeria later this week,” Ship added.

Harry’s spokesperson on meeting King Charles

The duke’s rep on Tuesday said a meeting between the estranged father and son “will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program.”

“The duke, of course, is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon,” a spokesperson for Harry added.

The king’s busy schedule includes his weekly audience with United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, as well as the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the season and previously scheduled engagements.

Harry’s trip to London marks the first time since his visit to see his estranged father following the king’s cancer diagnosis in February, as well as his first trip since learning of his sister-in-law Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis in March.

Charles ‘not allowed’ to meet Harry alone

Queen Camilla apparently has trust issues with Prince Harry. Therefore, she doesn’t want King Charles to meet his son alone. According to Royal commentator Angela Levin, Camilla fears that, given the monarch’s vulnerable condition during cancer treatment, he could give his son inside information.

“Nobody really wants to see him (Harry). King Charles will, because he’s his father, and fathers love their children even if they go off and behave badly,” she earlier said.

Prince William Not Letting Harry Anywhere Near Kate Middleton

Prince Harry has been deeply affected by the recent cancer diagnosis of Catherine, the Princess of Wales, often known by her maiden name Kate Middleton. The news of Kate’s undisclosed form of cancer was revealed in a shocking video she shared in March. Royal author Christopher Andersen shared insights on Harry’s reaction, noting their once close relationship. Andersen mentioned Harry’s desire to reconnect with Kate, but Prince William’s reluctance to allow it due to ongoing tensions. The author highlighted the significant drama and lingering bitterness among the royal family members, making any reconciliation efforts challenging. The chances of a meeting between Harry and the rest of the royal family seem slim, let alone a full reconciliation.

“They (Harry and Kate) were once extremely close, and Harry was hit hard by the news of her cancer diagnosis, which he learned about just the way the rest of us did, via Kate’s shocking video,” Christopher Andersen, author of “The King,” told Fox News on Wednesday.

He also claimed that the 39-year-old prince would love to “reconnect” with Kate but “unfortunately, it doesn’t appear [Prince] William is willing to let his brother anywhere near his ailing wife.”
