Here's what to expect from Karisma Kapoor in Netflix's 'Murder Mubarak' post her performance in 'Brown'

As secrets and lies come to the surface, the story turns the spotlight on an array of suspects, portrayed by a promising cast. This includes talents such as Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra and Suhail Nayyar, all of whom skillfully mask their characters’ ulterior motives. Yes, it’s about Netflix’s upcoming suspense thriller ‘Murder Mubarak,’ which drops soon.

What to expect from Karisma Kapoor?

The actress could seduce the audience with her mysterious and marveling avatar. In her three-decade journey, she has dabbled with all possible genres, ranging from comedies (Raja Babu, Judwaa, Haseena Maan Jaayegi) to romances (Raja Hindustani, Dil To Pagal Hai) to dramas (Fiza, Zubeidaa). With this offering by the OTT giant, she steps into the world of whodunit where everyone is innocent and yet a suspect.

This also happens to be her next outing after Brown.  It’s a police procedural following the story of Rita Brown, a suicidal alcoholic, and Arjun Sinha, a widower with survivor’s guilt. In the show, Karisma Kapoor plays a deglamorised role. She plays a recovering alcoholic named Rita Brown, a cop, who is investigating the murder of a young woman.

Brown was selected at the Berlin Film Festival out of 16 shows around the world creating an international stir earning a grand premiere at the Festival.

Brown is based on Abheek Barua’s 2016 book City of Death. The thriller has been adapted by Digvijay Singh, Sunayana Kumari and Mayukh Ghosh.
