Warning Signs of Breast Cancer

According to Webmd, Breast cancer can have different symptoms for different people. Many don’t notice any signs at all. The most common symptom is a new lump in your breast or armpit that doesn’t go away.

Other symptoms include:

  • Swelling in your armpit or near your collarbone
  • Pain and tenderness
  • A flat or indented area on your breast
  • Changes in your nipple
  • Unusual nipple discharge

Precautions Women Must Take to Reduce The Risk of Breast Cancer

  1. Balanced Diet: Make sure that you have a balance of proteins, carbs and fats in your diet. There shouldn’t be too much-processed food and salt. Avoiding excessive sugar and fruits must be a part of your daily routine.
  2. Active Lifestyle: At least have a 30-minute workout in your daily schedule. This keeps your body fit and refreshed. Not just gymming but also brisk walking, jogging etc can be perfect exercises that you can incorporate into your routine.
  3. Do Breastfeed: Breastfeeding is found to be protective for breast cancer and is recommended that it should be promoted for the baby as well as the mother.
  4. Avoid Obesity: Breast cancer has been documented to be more common in obese women and hence it is recommended that the weight should be kept in check. Ensure that your food portions are of small size and you have everything in moderation.
  5. Take care of your gut: The gut microbiome is home to myriad healthy bacteria that crowd out potentially harmful microbes. The best thing you can do is eat a variety of wholesome foods that boast good bacteria, such as plain greek yogurt, almonds, greens, garlic and whole grains.
