Rajeev Shukla stated that the Indian government's decision next year will determine whether the Indian team will travel to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy.

Kanpur: Vice-President of the Board of Keep an eye on for Cricket in India, Rajeev Shukla, on Monday stated that the call still lies within the hands of the Indian government who would take a final decision next year, as per the mounting speculations surrounding the likely talk over with of the Indian Cricket Team to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy.

Pakistan are scheduled to host the celebrated ICC ODI tournament from February 19 to March 9.

“No decision has been taken (yet). But our policy is that for international tours, we always are hunting for the permission of the government. It’s as much as the government to search out out whether our team should go to any usa or our team should no longer go to any usa,” Shukla told reporters here.

“In this case (also), no matter the government will come to a decision, we can abide by that,” he added.

Shukla became talking to the media on the sidelines of the continuing 2nd Test between India and Bangladesh here.

India and Pakistan best play one another in ICC events. India is not going to have any further travelled to Pakistan for bilateral cricket since 2008 as a consequence of the Mumbai terror attacks wherein over one hundred fifty people were killed.

Pakistan were in India for the ODI World Cup last year after a gap of seven years.
