Vikas Bahl is a renowned director known for his successful films such as Chillar Birthday celebration (2011), Queen (2013), Super 30 (2019), and Shaitaan (2024). Despite his impressive track record, there used to be one film that failed to fulfill expectations. The sci-fi thriller Ganpat, made with a gigantic budget of Rs 200 crore, failed to make an impact at the box place of business. The film no longer most effective underperformed commercially but also adversely affected the reputation of its lead actor.

Released in 2023, Ganpat featured big names including Amitabh Bachchan, Tiger Shroff, and Kriti Sanon. The movie at the starting place created a decent buzz, however it no doubt sooner or later flopped spectacularly.

Despite the film’s extensive marketing, Ganpat turned out to be a first-rate flop. The makers had high hopes for the film, but after the first box place of business collection reports, it became evident that the movie would struggle. Despite being produced with a whopping Rs 200 crore budget, the film managed to compile barely Rs 20 crore, making it one in every of the many year’s biggest flops.

Audiences criticized Ganpat for its incoherent and poorly constructed narrative. Many felt that the film lacked direction and failed to deliver a compelling story. Director Vikas Bahl addressed the negative reviews and the film’s poor reception.

Regarding the film’s issues, Vikas Bahl admitted that he himself struggled to grasp the direction of Ganpat. He had significant doubts about the storyline. Bahl revealed that Ganpat used to be a dream project for him, which he approached with great enthusiasm. Alternatively, as the project improved, the story began to diverge from his original vision.

In an interview, he said, “While I was writing the story of Ganpat, it kept evolving in unexpected ways. I didn’t even realize when it shifted to a future backdrop. When I reviewed the story, I found it demanding to set up a means to relate it. I just knew that it had to be finished.”
