Iran-Israel war: Amid rising tensions between Iran and Israel, the Centre issued a go from side to side advisory to all Indian citizens on Wednesday. At some stage in the advisory, government has urged Indians to steer away from all non-essential go from side to side to Iran. It also advised the nationals living in Iran to “remain vigilant” and stay involved with the Indian Embassy in Tehran.

MEA says, “We're closely monitoring the new escalation in security situation within the region. Indian nationals are advised to steer away from all non-essential go from side to side to Iran. Those currently residing in Iran are requested to remain vigilant and stay involved with the Indian Embassy in Tehran.”

Cyber Police Kashmir warns people against posting inflammatory content following Nasrallah’s killing

Cyber Police Kashmir has warned social media users against fanning communal or sectarian tensions within the valley within the wake of the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in Israeli strikes in Lebanon on Saturday.

“We’ve noticed inflammatory and sectarian posts being shared on social media, threatening communal cohesion. We urge every person to refrain from posting or engaging in such divisive content,” the Cyber Police Kashmir said in an an advisory posted on X. The police warned of strict action against anyone posting or sharing any inflammatory or provocative content.

“Any individual found posting or sharing sectarian, inflammatory, or provocative content geared toward disturbing peace will face strict legal action below the relevant sections of law. Let’s work together to do something about the cohesion and tranquility of Kashmir,” it added.

Spontaneous protests broke out within the Shia-dominated areas of Srinagar and Budgam districts soon after the killing of the Hezbollah chief. While the protests on streets have been peaceful to this point, there were reports of some social media users posting provocative content online.
