Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant made a fairytale comeback within the first Test vs Bangladesh on the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai last week. Pant, who used to be playing his first Test match after 629 days, scored his sixth Test century to equal the record of former India captain MS Dhoni for most centuries by an Indian wicketkeeper.

One individual that used to be specially pleased by Pant’s performance used to be his girlfriend and model Isha Negi. The Dehradun girl shared a romantic post on Instagram on the day on which Pant notched up his Test ton and it soon went viral on social media.

Isha Negi wrote a 3-word message, “Grateful, Thankful, Blessed” which the netizens feel used to be in obvious reference to her boyfriend Pant, who had suffered a life-threatening car accident in December 2022 which kept him out of international cricket or greater than a year.

The Delhi Capitals skipper himself used to be delighted by his performance within the Chennai Test. “Definitely a lot special, first I love playing in Chennai and secondly after injury I was seeking to play all three formats, this used to be my first match on this format and hopefully I did better. Definitely it used to be emotional, I was seeking to score runs in every game,” Pant told BCCI in an interview after the match.

Pant returned to Test cricket within the two-match Test series after his life-threatening road accident back in 2022-end. Pant’s emotional journey back to the field highlighted his deep reference to Test cricket.

“Coming back to Test cricket where I belong a few the most, being on the field gives me pleasure greater than the remainder else,” he said.

Pant revealed his mindset your entire way through important moments. “I don’t know what people say outside, I tried to read the placement in my very own way, everytime you're 30-Three you wish stitch a partnership and that’s what I did with Gill. To do it with a man who I've relationship with is special,” he added.

The Indian wicketkeeper will now be seen in action within the 2d Test against Bangladesh which gets underway on the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Friday (September 27).
