Jigra Teaser Trailer: Alia Bhatt Goes to Great Lengths With Intense Action to Rescue Brother Vedang Raina From Jail – WATCH

At last, the wait is over because the teaser trailer for Alia Bhatt’s an awful lot-anticipated film Jigra has been released. The teaser gives a glimpse of a heartwarming tale about a brother and sister standing together in a harsh world, despite all odds. Helmed by Vasan Bala, the film, also stars Vedang Raina, is an action-packed detention center break thriller.

The teaser trailer opens with a shot of Alia in a grim setting, where she speaks about saving her brother, who's racing against time. We hear Alia say, ‘Kahani bahut lambi hai aur bhai ke paas waqt bahut kam hai.’ With the song ‘Phoolon Ka Taron Ka’ playing within the background, we see an absolutely different side of Alia—fearless within the face of adversity, overcoming challenges and struggling with like a lioness. The desperation to save her brother (played by Vedang Raina) and get him out of penal complex pushes every ounce of her strength to the forefront.

Later, we see Vedang Raina’s entry as he appears on-screen in handcuffs. In what can simplest be described as sheer police brutality, Vedang is viciously beaten by men in penal complex. The scene stirs deep emotions and may bring some to tears. With what unfolds next for Alia and Vedang, the teaser trailer keeps its audience hooked until the very end.

Take a look here:

Back in 2023, Alia spread out in regards to the film where she described the plot as ‘courage, passion and resolution’. “Only a little over a year later, we are ready to launch our 2nd production – Jigra, story of courage, passion and resolution. I'm hoping to consistently give a boost to compelling narratives which are authentic, and enduringly timeless and work with brilliant creative minds to bring them alive,” Alia added.

It used to be recently disclosed that Alia Bhatt needed to learn basketball for her role in Jigra. In keeping with a report by E-Times, the actress has a couple of scenes within the film where she plays basketball. To confirm authenticity, director Vasan Bala arranged for a coach to educate her specifically for these sequences.

Meanwhile, Jigra is co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia and her sister Shaheen Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions. The movie used to be supposed to hit the enormous screens on September 27 but now audiences can watch it in cinema halls from October 11.
