In the Karnataka Assembly elections on Wednesday, early voters included Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, former chief minister B.S. Yediyurappa, veteran of the IT sector N.R. Narayana Murthy and his wife Sudha Murthy, and 'Rajamate' Pramoda Devi Wadiyar of the Mysuru royal family.

Voting amid high security

On election day throughout Karnataka, 84,119 State Police Officers and 58,500 CAPF police in 650 CoYs are on Law and Order and security duty. In order to maintain Law and Order effectively and deal with MCC infractions, all police officers are on patrol. Police officers and other staff members are on high alert at 185 Interstate Border Checkpoints.

Key seats to watch out for in 2023 Karnataka Assembly Elections
