Dressed in casuals, Arjun avoided posing for the paparazzi and quickly went inside the venue. Notably absent from the party was Arjun’s girlfriend, Malaika Arora, fueling breakup rumours. On Thursday morning, Malaika shared a cryptic note on her Instagram stories, addressing the breakup speculation. “I like people that I can trust with my eyes closed and my back turned,” the note read, hinting at the reason behind their breakup.

Malaika and Arjun have reportedly broken up after dating for around seven years. None of them have made an official statement regarding their relationship status. Last year, Malaika posted a romantic birthday message for Arjun. She had posted a carousel with five solo pictures of Arjun and captioned the post as, “Happy birthday my sunshine, my thinker, my goofy, my shopaholic, my handsome.”
But this year, there was no such post, and the couple has not been seen together publicly for some time.
Last month, breakup rumours about the duo started making rounds on the internet when a source informed Pinkvilla that their relationship had “run its course.” “Malaika and Arjun had a very special relationship, and both of them will continue to hold a special place in each other’s hearts. They have chosen to part ways and will maintain a dignified silence in this matter. They won’t allow anyone to drag and dissect their relationship,” the source said.
In the first week of June, Malaika’s manager cleared the air about the duo’s relationship and told India Today, “No no. All rumours.”
