Nawazuddin Siddiqui's estranged wife Aaliya gets deportation notice from Dubai government over non-payment of rent

Aaliya Siddiqui, Nawazuddin Siddiqui‘s estranged wife, who was last seen in reality show, Bigg Boss OTT 2, has been issued a deportation notice from the Dubai government over non-payment of rent. As per an ETimes report, as the two are currently navigating through a divorce settlement, Aaliya, who is a film producer, has been living with her two children, Shora and Yaani, in Dubai. Latest reports indicate that on 7 September, authorities from Dubai’s Rental Disputes Centre, arrived at her residence with a notice of evacuation and demanded the rental value of 27,183.00 dirhams or approx. Rs 6.1 lakh.

In the midst of the ongoing family feud, the report cited sources suggesting that the Gangs of Wasseypur star was to complete the formalities involving rent payment after a final order from the Bombay High Court. However, he has failed to do so resulting in the move. For the unfamiliar, Nawazuddin and Aaliya’s children are studying in Dubai at the moment.

Aaliya, on her part, fearing deportation, was asked to pay the dues or face legal action. To resolve the issue, the ETimes reported that she would visit the Indian embassy in Dubai today.

In an earlier conversation with the news portal, Aaliya shared that Nawaz visited them in Dubai for property purposes too. She said, “I want him to have the Dubai house agreement changed in his name. He will be the provider and if anything gets rough for us, it will give us more security if he holds the reins. As for the money part, Nawaz has started paying up as per the court orders. I think we should settle the agreement thing soon.”

Aaliya and Nawazuddin’s relationship

Although the couple are yet to be officially divorced, Aaliya has moved on from her broken marriage. In the latest, the producer has changed her Instagram name to Aaliya Anand Pandey. However, keeping their differences aside, the duo have also begun co-parenting their two children.

Aaliya previously shared a heartwarming clip featuring the trio, father Nawazuddin with both Shora and Yaani making the most of their time together. In the clip, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star held the kids in his arms while planting a kiss on his daughter’s head.

She also thanked the actor for his support while participating in the drama reality show.

Aaliya was the third contestant to exit the Bigg Boss OTT 2 show in a surprising mid-week eviction. She is also a producer for Holy Cow, a 2022 Indian Hindi-language satirical comedy film, written and directed by Sai Kabir. It stars Sanjay Mishra, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Sadiya Siddiqui, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a cameo appearance.

Work-wise, Nawazuddin was last seen in Jogira Sara Ra Ra along with Neha Sharma and in Sudhir Mishra’s Afwaah. In the latest, he was seen alongside filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in the OTT film Haddi.
