The show comes as Netflix has continued to leverage sports content after the successful “Formula 1: Drive To Survive” series that has bolstered the motorsport league’s popularity around the world, particularly in the United States. The show’s success parlayed into huge expansion in the sport in different markets, including adding two Grand Prix’s in the United States over the last two years.

Both tennis and golf have tried to take the same formula, with Drive To Survive producers Box To Box films creating “Break Point” that followed the ATP Tour and WTA Tour and “Full Swing” that chronicled the PGA Tour’s initial battle with the LIV Tour last year.

More NFL Business:

Sports docuseries have given fans a candid look at the athletes and their trials throughout their season. With Formula 1, it unlocked a new audience -- particularly women and Gen Z -- that many leagues are desperately trying to attract.

The NFL has been looking towards attracting a younger audience through broadcasting games on Nickelodeon. It also has moved some of its broadcast to streaming services like Amazon.
