OnePlus Ace 3 launch date leaked, to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, will have a 1.5K curved display

The eagerly anticipated OnePlus Ace 3 is set for its debut in the Chinese market, with expectations of a global release as the OnePlus 12R. This revelation has been confirmed for January 23, coinciding with the unveiling of the OnePlus 12.

The Ace 3, boasting numerous enhancements over its predecessor, the OnePlus Ace 2, which hit the market in February of the current year, has been the subject of numerous leaks in recent weeks.

The latest information, courtesy of reputable tipster Digital Chat Station, suggests a potential debut for the OnePlus Ace 3 in the initial week of 2024.

In a Weibo post, Digital Chat Station indicated that the OnePlus Ace 3 is likely to make its initial appearance in China on January 4, 2024. Simultaneously, the global launch under the moniker OnePlus 12R is scheduled for January 24.

The mid-range device is anticipated to feature a robust metal frame and will be driven by the formidable Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Noteworthy specifications include a 1.5K curved display and support for rapid 100W wired charging.

Leaks from the same source and other outlets have unveiled various specifications of the OnePlus Ace 3. The device is rumoured to showcase a 6.78-inch BOE X1 Oriental OLED LTPO panel, boasting a 1.5K resolution (2,780 x 1,264 pixels).

This display is expected to offer a global peak brightness of 1,600 nits, a peak local brightness of 4,500 nits, and a PWM dimming rate of 2,160Hz.

In the imaging department, the OnePlus Ace 3 is anticipated to feature a robust camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel sensor equipped with an ultra-wide-angle lens at the rear, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

Constructed with a glass body and a metallic middle frame, the OnePlus Ace 3 is rumoured to house a substantial 5,500mAh battery with support for rapid 100W wired charging.
