Rahmanullah Gurbaz Equals THIS Virat Kohli Record after century against South Africa in second ODI
Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored his seventh ODI century against South Africa, equaling Virat Kohli for the second-most hundreds before turning 23, while becoming Afghanistan's leading century-scorer in ODIs.
New Delhi: Rahmanullah Gurbaz hit his seventh ODI century in Afghanistan’s second game against South Africa- levelled Virat Kohli for the second-most hundreds prior to his twenty third birthday.
Gurbaz scored his century off the 106th ball of his innings; or not it is his third-fastest ODI hundred for him, after he made two against Bangladesh within the past. A hundred by Gurbaz helped Afghanistan put in force a dominant position at the top of forty overs, after opting to bat first and at last post 218-three.
Gurbaz took four off the first 15 balls he had faced but did become independent from against Lungi Ngidi to hit his first boundary by charging down the pitch and launching a six over mid-off. He followed that up with a complicated cover drive for four just two balls later.
By the time Gurbaz completed his 0.5-century, he had pulled the run rate significantly by then. He completed 50 off the 56th ball he faced. In the very next over, he lost the hole partner Riaz Hasan, ending their 87-run partnership within the 18th over of the innings.
