New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday extended his condolences to the Tata groups on the death of Ratan Tata, who passed away at 86 years old. PM Modi took to X and write, ” Shri Ratan Tata Ji became a visionary business leader, a compassionate soul and an unparalleled human being. He provided stable leadership to considered one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. On the same time, his contribution went a chronic way beyond the boardroom. He endeared himself to a few people on account of his humility, kindness and an unwavering commitment to creating our society better.”

“Among the many unusual aspects of Shri Ratan Tata Ji became his passion towards dreaming big and giving back. He became at the forefront of championing causes like education, healthcare, sanitation, animal welfare to name a couple of,” he added.

Ratan Naval Tata became born on 28 December 1937. He became an industrialist, philanthropist and former chairman of Tata Sons. He became a boss of the Tata Group from 1990 to 2012, and meantime chairman from October 2016 through February 2017. He continued to head its charitable trusts. In 2008, he received the Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian honour in India, after receiving the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian honour in 2000.
