Rishabh Pant reunites with Prithvi Shaw in Delhi Capitals' heartwarming picture

It’s been nearly a year now since India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant met with an accident while driving from New Delhi to his hometown of Roorkee.

While Pant was lucky to have escaped the mangled remains of his Mercedes-Benz GLE AMG Coupe before it turned into a giant fireball, the injuries that he suffered have since ruled him out of competitive cricket. The Delhi Capitals captain has had to undergo multiple surgeries following by extensive rehabilitation since the accident, missing out on a number of events including the IPL, World Test Championship final, Asia Cup and the ICC World Cup.

Pant, however, has been making steady progress of late and has began walking without support. And occasionally, he has even had the opportunity to reunite with some of his teammates both in the Indian team as well as at the Capitals.

On Wednesday, the Delhi Capitals shared an image of Pant reuniting with India and DC opener Prithvi Shaw through their social media accounts that has since gone viral, further raising hopes of the wicketkeeper-batter making his much-awaited return sooner rather than later.
