Heeramandi actor Sonakshi Sinha is over the moon these days. The soon-to-be bride is about to enter a new chapter in her life as she ties the knot with her long-time beau, Zaheer Iqbal. The couple will exchange vows on June 23, 2024. Ahead of the wedding, several rumours circulated claiming that Sonakshi’s father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, would not attend the wedding. However, the Yaar Meri Zindagi actor has quashed all the rumours, stating that he will attend the wedding and give his blessings to his doting daughter.
Shatrughan Sinha appeared in an interview with Zoom, where he expressed his pride in his daughter and confirmed his presence at the wedding. He called himself Sonakshi’s pillar of strength, saying, “Tell me, whose life is it anyway? It’s just the life of my only daughter, Sonakshi, whom I am very proud of and immensely fond of. She calls me the pillar of her strength. I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn’t I, and why won’t I?”
The veteran actor also complimented his daughter’s choice, saying they make a good-looking pair. He added, “The very fact that I have still been in Mumbai conveys that I am here not only as her pillar of strength but as her real kavach (armor) as well. Sonakshi and Zaheer have to live life together. They look very nice together.”
In his signature style, Shatrughan expressed his happiness, concluding, “I would like to caution them with my signature dialogue: Khamosh, it’s none of your business. Mind only your business.”
