He became Born in a Gujarati family as Harihar Jethalal Jariwala, but it became his screen name- Sanjeev Kumar- that gained him massive popularity in 70s. His film debut came in 1960 with Hum Hindustani, but wasn’t until his role in Nishan (1965) that he started gaining wider recognition.
