Veteran England pacer Katherine Sciver-Brunt announces retirement from international cricket
Veteran seamer Katherine Sciver-Brunt announced her retirement from international cricket on Friday, bringing the curtains down on a glittering 19-year career for England.
Sciver-Brunt finishes as the leading wicket-taker for England across formats with 335 wickets to her name, the second-highest in women’s internationals after India’s Jhulan Goswami (355).
The fast bowler helped England’s women to three Ashes series victories and three World Cup wins, two coming in ODIs and one in T20s, since making her debut in 2004.
Sciver-Brunt, 37, quit playing Tests last year and also stepped away from ODIs.
