Vicky Kaushal on Vikrant Massey's '12th Fail': 'Cried a lot, but I’m happy'

Vikrant Massey and Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail that is based on the real-life story of IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma, did wonders at the box-office and is still running in cinemas. Right from Deepika Padukone to Alia Bhatt to Hrithik Roshan, Bollywood celebrities have heaped praises on the film and the next in line is Vicky Kaushal.

Kaushal wrote on his Instagram story- “Speechless! Bohat roya par dil khush ho gya (Cried a lot, but I’m happy). The best film, the best performance and the best story of the year. What a cinematic triumph! @vidhuvinodchoprafilms I tip my hat off to you Sir.”

He added, “Vikrant Massey jald hi milkar gale lagna hai Such an inspiring performance. @medhashankr absolutely brilliant! And my salute to the entire ensemble cast and all the technicians! What a Film!”

Katrina Kaif on 12th Fail

She said, “I think this year is probably one of the best years for me to give this example where we’ve seen high octane action commercial blockbusters and we’ve seen an intimate story 12th Fail do so well. I think that’s all the example we need.” This was said during an interview with Film Companion.

Kaif added, “About the relation in terms of box office, I really feel it can become a trap for you. If you focus on it too much then you’ll find yourself chasing something and not knowing yourself like, ‘How do I achieve it?”
