Vicky Kaushal thanks Kolkata people for warm experience as he visits the city for promotions of Sam Bahadur
‘Sam Bahadur’ starring Vicky Kaushal is all set to hit the theatres on December 1, 2023. Based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, the upcoming biopic has been helmed by Meghna Gulzar and also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles. While Sanya will be essaying the role of Sam’s wife Silloo, Fatima will be playing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Ahead of the film’s release, Vicky is on a promotional spree and visited Kolkata for the same.
Filled with gratitude for the love received from the people of Kolkata, the actor thanked them for the pleasurable experience of visiting the city. He also expressed his love for the people of the particular city as he visited Bhawanipur College in Kolkata. Dropping a post on his Instagram handle, Vicky wrote, “From meeting the bravest souls of our nation, the war veterans of 1971 to vibing with the electrifying crowd, Kolkata was truly a delight! Aami tomader sabaike bhalobashi!!!”
The heartfelt post displayed an intriguing video of the actor as he interacted with the crowd and visited some historic places and museums located in the city. The clip starts with the Zara Hatke Zara Bachke actor learning how to load guns used in the war and posing with the army men exuding ‘josh’. He looked all enthusiastic while taking selfies with fans and giving flying kisses to them. Vicky looked stylish as ever in a black T-shirt paired with matching track pants and a grey jacket. Sporting a long beard and black shades, the actor left his female fans’ hearts racing.
Earlier, the actress also treated his fans to a BTS clip from the shoots of Sam Bahadur. In the clip, the actor revealed the film was perhaps his most meticulously shot project to date, as he never went through so many look-tests. Sharing the bone-chilling clip, Vicky penned, “The toughest role I have played… The most enriching and full filling journey I have been on as an Actor! Sharing with you’ll a snippet of all that went behind the scenes to make it happen. Truly, a team full of BAHADURs!!!”
Notably, Sam Bahadur will have a clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s much-awaited Animal which will also be released on December 1.
