Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma to RETIRE After 2025 Champions Trophy? Gautam Gambhir’s Condition For India Head Coach Job

St Lucia: Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are two of the greatest to have held a bat in this generation, but again, both are in the twilight of their illustrious careers. With the Indian cricket regime set to change with coach Rahul Dravid’s tenure coming to an end, speculations and multiple reports suggest that Gautam Gambhir is going to take over.

So, with a new era set to start, Gambhir, who looks like the obvious choice, has made five demands. As per Navbharat Times, Gambhir wants Rohit, Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami to hang up their boots after the 2025 Champions Trophy.

One thing is for sure, that everything will eventually depend on Rohit and Kohli’s form. Also there is the WTC final next year and India could very well feature in that. They would love to win it in their third attempt.

Among Gambhir’s other demands are full authority of the functioning of the team. He also wants to prepare a roadmap for 2027 ODI WC.
