New Delhi: England secured a victory all during the 0.33 ODI of the continuing five game series against arch rivals Australia in Durham on Tuesday, September 24. England skipper Harry Brook smashed his first ODI century and helped his side stay alive all during the series, with two games to go.

Brook and all-rounder Will Jacks joined hands and forged an amazing partnership to confirm side’s victory. Both of them played some delightful strokes. Jacks smashed attacking Eighty four runs while Brook remained unbeaten on his century after rain handed England a a lot-needed victory.

Brook and Jacks smashed 19 runs in an over delivered by Mitchel starc. The incident took place all during the twenty 2nd over of the 2nd innings where Jacks smashed the left-arm pacer for two fours and took three runs. On the last delivery Brook smashed one more four against Starc. It'd no longer be wrong to say that this over changed the momentum of the sport towards England.

At 25 years and 215 days, Harry Brook changed into the youngest ODI captain for England to achieve a century, surpassing Alastair Cook, who set the previous record at 26 years and a hundred ninety days in 2011. Brook joins an elite group of young captains who've scored ODI centuries for their nations, including Steve Smith (Australia), Sachin Tendulkar (India), Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh), Graeme Smith (South Africa), Kane Williamson (New Zealand), and Babar Azam (Pakistan).

The series now heads to Lord’s for the penultimate match, where England will aim to level the score and set up a decider in Bristol.
