Watch: Virat Kohli gives a tour of his new Alibaug holiday home

One of the most renowned sports personalities and a youth icon in India, Virat Kohli is not only known for his extraordinary talent in the field of cricket but also gained popularity for his opulent lifestyle. Besides having a magnificent house in Gurgaon and another opulent apartment in Worli, Mumbai, the former India captain is now a proud owner of a lavish holiday home in Alibaug. The new farmhouse is no less than a dream house for a peaceful getaway.

Kohli recently shared glimpses of the newly-built holiday home, giving a personal tour of his personal getaway destination that has reportedly been built over a 10,000-square-foot plot in Alibaug, a coastal town located south of Mumbai.

Constructed in a Californian Konkan style, the four-bedroom villa features high ceilings that allow natural light to enter the house. In a now-viral social media post, Kohli can be heard mentioning that he loves natural light. The interiors further have a very light tone, along with a living room. “There is no television here and no other source of entertainment. This is where all the conversations would take place. I value and cherish having meals together as a family,” he said.

Kohli went on to add that he missed spending a lot of time with family due to his practices, thus, the holiday home gives the feeling of “being at home while being away from home.” The talismanic India batter also highlighted the set-up of the dining table inside the house, along with the coffee table outdoors, stating that it helps to connect him with nature.

Kohli also spoke about the favourite part of his house outdoors, where he likes to have a cup of coffee and chill out. As per reports, the farmhouse, which is located near Zirag, a village in Alibaug, cost around Rs 19.24 crore.
