Basking in the success of her latest release with Sam Bahadur, director Meghna Gulzar is reportedly gearing up for her next project with Sidharth Malhotra. Notably, the project will mark their first-ever collaboration. As per the latest developments, the duo has been in talks for quite some time now, discussing various ideas, and has finally settled on a captivating story.

According to a Pinkvilla report, the film will be based on a horrifying true story, the details of which are yet to be unveiled. Meanwhile, both Meghna Gulzar and Sidharth Malhotra are also expected to confirm the news anytime soon.

Meghna Gulzar-Sidharth Malhotra to come together for a project?

As per the fresh updates, the project which aims to portray the true story on the big screen will commence shooting around mid-2024, spanning two months at authentic locations, with initial location scouting set for the first quarter of 2024. After discussing the same for several long months, the two have finally found the right subject, which they believe will shock audiences.

In the meantime, Meghna Gulzar who is known for helming projects like Talwar, Raazi, Chhapaak, and Sam Bahadur was deeply moved by the anticipated film’s narrative, thus prompting both parties to move forward.

Sidharth Malhotra on the work front

Last seen in Shantanu Bagchi’s Mission Majnu, Sidharth Malhotra presently has a lot of projects in the pipeline. From Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force to Karan Johar’s production Yodha, the actor is gearing up for a couple of releases in the coming months.

In the meantime, the actor is reportedly also eager to collaborate with director Siddharth Anand, the face behind films like War and Pathaan. According to sources, the Shershaah actor is in talks with Mamta Anand and Siddharth Anand or an actioner, which will most probably be helmed by Rohan Khambati.

The source further added that the actor is willing to do more in the action space and believes that no one is better than Siddharth Anand to bring the genre to the big screen. If everything goes well, the filming will begin by the end of the year.
