Alia Bhatt Shares How She and Ranbir Kapoor Deal With Life’s Ups and Down; ‘I am and Overthinker, He Prefers To Let Go’
In an interview with Harper's Bazaar India, Alia Bhatt said that she and her husband Ranbir Kapoor approach things in different ways.
Alia Bhatt turned heads with her MET Gala outfit. The actor looked stunning in a Sabyasachi saree. With her looks, Bhatt made headlines in India as well as abroad. Now, in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar India, Alia revealed that she learned a lot from her husband Ranbir Kapoor. The actor also said that Ranbir also taught her to handle failure in the most sane way.
Alia also shared that there is a difference between how she and Ranbir handle things. “Ranbir and I handle things differently. I am more contemplative, and a bit of an overthinker, while he prefers to shake off the dust and move on quickly. It’s this difference that helps us support each other, providing balance when it’s needed the most,” the actor said. She also mentioned, “But both of us choose to focus on work with a lot of love and immense respect. We work like it is a part of our life — a very important one — but not the whole of our life.”
As the interview progressed, Alia was asked which Indian and global icons are major sources of inspiration for her. To this, the Gangubai Kathiawadi actor named Kate Winslet and even praised her for her “incredible range and resilience.” Alia then took the name of Taylor Swift and credited her for transforming all experiences into “heartfelt music.” She then added, “These women embrace their journeys with such élan and ease—that authenticity is what I aim to bring to my roles.”
Meanwhile, coming Alia’s MET Gala 2024 look, the actor became the most visible attendee when she walked the red carpet leaving behind famous stars such as Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Cardi B and Doja Cat and topped the chart. This was the second time when Alia walked the red carpet in the MET Gala.
On the professional front, Alia’s most recent appearance was in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, where she starred alongside Ranveer Singh. Next, she will feature in “Jigra,” in which she not only acts but also produces the film. Apart from “Jigra,” Alia is set to appear soon in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zara alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif.
