Animal Song 'Papa Meri Jaan' Out: A Look At Ranbir Kapoor-Anil Kapoor's complex relationship

After impressing fans with its first two songs ‘Satranga‘ and ‘Hua Main‘, the makers of Ranbir Kapoor’s much-awaited film ‘Animal released the third song this latest track ‘Papa Meri Jaan‘ on Tuesday, 14 November.

The song which was released on the occasion of Children’s Day portrays a deep connection between the father and son, as portrayed by actors Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor respectively. While the trailer sheds light on the cold relationship between the father and son, the song does otherwise as it shows the vulnerable site to it.

‘Papa Meri Jaan‘ which features both the leading actors shows the absence of Balbir Singh (the character played by Anil Kapoor) in the growing age of stage of his son (played by Ranbir Kapoor). While Ranbir’s character can be shown as having a deep affection and love for his father, Balbir Singh on the other hand, seems quite busy with his own personal life which leads to a troubled relationship in the future.

Amid all the intense moments between the father and the son, the son’s unwavering love and willingness to protect his father from any kind of danger is unmissable.

The emotions have been closely portrayed with the help of Sonu Nigam’s soulful voice, providing a sneak peek into the complex layers of the relationship. While the trailer had already hinted towards intricate layers of the father-son relationship in the film, the song seems to have heightened that further.

Ranbir Kapoor shares the third song from Animal

The song was shared across Instagram and X handles on Tuesday. Actor Anil Kapoor while taking to Instagram shared the song’s poster and revealed about the song. “Soul stirring #PapaMeriJaan,” he wrote.

Apart from the Hindi version, the song will be also released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Prior to this, two songs along with first-look posters of lead actors including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol have been also released. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the crime-drama thriller film will hit theatres on 1 December 2023.
