Asian Games 2023: India's schedule on 30 September, time in IST, live streaming

India on Friday added eight medals to their tally, including two gold medals, to increase their total to 33 medals in the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou. Apart from two gold medals on Friday, India also added four silver and two bronze to their tally.

Indian shooters had a memorable day on Friday. Esha Singh, Palak and TS Divya won silver in the women’s 10m air rifle team event, and that was followed by the men’s team of Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Swapnil Sunil Kusale, and Akhil Sheoran, who won gold in the men’s 50m rifle 3P event.

Aishwary would then go onto win silver in the men’s 50m air rifle 3P individual event too.

In the 10m air pistol individual event, Palak and Esha led a one-two finish, winning a gold and silver respectively.

In tennis, the men’s doubles pair of Saketh Myneni and Ramkumar Ramanathan won silver after losing to Taiwan’s Jason Jung and Yu-hsiou Hsu in the final.

In the women’s squash team event, the team led by Joshna Chinappa, Tanvi Khanna and Anahat Singh won bronze after they lost 1-2 to Hong Kong in the semi-finals.

India’s final medal of the day came from Kiran Baliyan, who clinched bronze in the women’s shot put event.

Saturday will see more athletes in action. Boxer Lovlina Borgohain and weightlifter Mirabai Chanu are medal hopefuls for India. In badminton, the India men’s team will face South Korea in the semi-finals.

Then there’s the marquee India vs Pakistan Pool A match in men’s hockey as well. India will be coming on the back of a 4-2 win against Japan on Thursday.
